MAT Class

What is the Medication Administration Training (MAT) program? It trains and certifies Virginia child care providers to safely give medication to the children (infants through school age) in their care. This program has more requirements than most of the programs that we offer, due to regulations set forth by the state and our instructor.

  1. We will be offering a morning class (8:00am – 12:00pm) and an afternoon class (12:30pm – 4:30pm).
  2. The class is $100/person. We must have payment no later than July 17th. We strongly recommend that you use the Paypal option on our website (You do not need a Paypal account to use it.) If you choose to mail a check, we must receive it by July 17th. You will be unenrolled, and your spot will be given to someone else, if payment is not received. There are no refunds given for this class, but you may transfer it to someone else.
  3. Each class must have a minimum of 6 people enrolled, or it will be canceled. We are not allowed to have more than 8 people in a class. We reserve the right to combine classes, if we do not get the minimum number of participants.
  4. Each participant must have a current First Aid/CPR card in order to participate in the class.
  5. Participants must complete the online portion of the class prior to attending the in-person class. The instructor will provide further information.
  6. Participants must be over 18 years of age. No children may attend the class.
  7. You must be able to read, speak, and understand spoken English. The instructor does not allow translators in this class.
