Happy Summer!

We hope this finds you healthy and cool. We have a few announcements.

1. Madison Learning Center is looking to purchase two cribs this weekend. If you can help them out, please contact Cindy Decowski at 540-738-2617.

2. We just got permission to hold our free CPR / First Aid classes. Now, we are trying to figure out the logistics with social distancing in place, and then we will be advertising them. Watch for our emails.

3. Next week, we will be announcing our next Directors' Forum and Family Providers' Forum. We will be discussing the challenges and successes to opening our programs. We will also be discussing the new trainings that we will  be offering on business practices.

4. VDSS sent you an email this week for the new CARES II Grant.This is for programs (family day care, voluntarily registered family day care homes, preschools, religious exempt programs, licensed child care centers, subsidy approved vendors, and local ordinance approved programs) that are currently open or will be opening in July, August, or September. This is grant money, that you do not have to pay back. The amount is equal to $100 times 1/2 of your enrollment for each of the three months that you are open. You receive this in one check. We highly encourage you to apply for this funding. Even if you received the first CARES Grant, you can apply for this one. If you did not receive the application, please contact us and we will forward it to you.
